A Bench on the Pacific is a visual take on a true conversation I had with a friend.

Waiting for a potential life-threatening diagnosis, we reflected on our own mortality and the absurdity of one-size-fits-all funerary rituals.

It was entered for the Observer/Cape/Comica graphic short story prize 2021. A French version was entered for the Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d’Angoulême’ Jeunes Talents competition.
